Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan’s 7,000 square feet erstwhile colonial-style bungalow turned studio in Chennai is an ideal blend of delicate traditional artefacts and wooden sculptures.

Their bungalow featured huge pockets of sunshine and a gentle breeze, highlighting the space as you walk in the late afternoon. Designed as a home studio for the power couple, the aesthetic is the modern luxe of a colonial studio. Their home is also distinctly outdoorsy and tropical, with a rustic charm and a focus on local traditional craftsmanship. Their home is an ideal blend of earthy colour palettes with touches of teak, woven fibre, linen fabric, and rattan, keeping the space subtle and grounded.

Located in Venus Colony, a prime residential neighbourhood in Chennai, the bungalow has a large terrace with an upper-level bamboo deck that manages to capture some smooth city views. “I wanted to retain the essence of the bungalow while enhancing it to make it brighter by bringing in lots of natural light,” adds Nayanthara.

This home studio in Chennai is comprehensive and complete, with a conference room, a cosy lounge space to host guests and parties, a large outdoor landscaped section to hang out, and an outdoor backyard dining. There is also a living room to host visitors, bedrooms to house their work team, and a separate meeting room for both Nayanthara and Vignesh to conduct their meetings. Talking about her favourite part, Nayathara said, “My most favourite part is Vignesh’s studio along with the terrace cafe lounge where we host guests regularly.” She loves the two new double-height glass houses sandwiched between a central terrace space—a chic and immaculately modern touch nestled within otherwise semi-old-worldly architectural elements and a rustic, earthy aesthetic.

Hair stylist,  Stephane Lancien styled her hair in soft curls that gently fell over her shoulders. A simple pair of silver hoop earrings was all she needed to complete the look for the day.

Before that, Simone Ashley graced the Cannes 2025 red carpet in a structured gown. For the premiere of Mastermind at the Cannes Film Festival, she stunned in a white ensemble from the iconic designer Vivienne Westwood’s 2025 India collection. The gown featured a corset detailing paired with a voluminous skirt, giving off some serious Labyrinth vibes.

She accessorised her look with a pair of diamond earrings and a statement ring. Simone kept her hair blow-dried and voluminous. Subtle makeup and a touch of matte lip colour completed her radiant appearance.

Janhvi Kapoor had the most epic sartorial night while attending the amfAR Gala dressed in signature pieces from designer powerhouses including Yyes Saint Laurent, Anamika Khanna and Chopard.

The Devara: Part 1 actress was caught on camera posing like the certified diva that she while being styled by celebrity stylist and her cousin, Rhea Kapoor who was paying homage to her favourite years of YSL with Janhvi’s look.

Glam wise, makeup artist Savleen Kaur Manchanda added the perfect strokes of glam to Janhvi’s pretty face nude glam avatar with a beaming base, a bronzer laden complexion, eyeliner and mascara defined eyes and a nude lip.

Miss England 2024, Milla Magee left Telangana, India “after being made to feel like a prostitute”

Miss England 2024, Milla Magee has been grabbing headlines all over all again. But this time it isn’t about her surf boards and giving people a new lease of life with the CPR techniques she has mastered. However, unfortunately it is about her quitting the Miss World pageant because she felt like the organisers were subjecting her to exploitation.

Milla Magee who was representing United Kingdom in the ongoing Miss World pageant being hosted by India in Telangana, Hyderabad, has decided to call it quits due to personal reasons.

This was the first Miss England title holder to quit in the pageant’s 74-year-long history. The lifeguard tuned beauty queen from Newquay, Cornwall further added, “It’s stuck in the past. Morally I couldn’t be a part of it.”

What is further appalling is that in a devastated condition during her exit, Milla said that she “felt like a prostitute” and was “farmed out for entertainment” by the pageant organisers.

Milla mentioned that she took a stand for herself and her dignity after being made to parade in front of wealthy male sponsors. She clearly mentioned that the show is “outdated” during which some of the 109 finalists were being criticised for being “boring”.

Her exit happened earlier this week on May 16, 2025 during which she was quoted saying, “I went there to make a difference, but we had to sit like performing monkeys.” She has now been replaced by another beauty queen from the United Kingdom at the pageant.
